I'm moving out of the US (over a year and indefinitely at the moment) and closing my AT&T wireless account.
I currently own an iPhone 4 and want to use it while I'm travelling, however, I don't want to jailbreak my phone to unlock it from AT&T.
I called Apple earlier who told me that AT&T could assist me with this, but AT&T told me that it would be in violation of my agreement with Apple to jailbreak it (which I already informed the person I spoke to that I did NOT want to jailbreak the phone), so they didn't really give me an answer.
This is a big problem for me, and I really need some help as everything of mine for my business and personal (contacts, messages, notes, calendar, reminders etc) I use primarily on through my phone, and it'll end up being a $200 iPod.
Is there anyway to remove the carrier lock to AT&T without jailbreaking it?
